Boogie Woogie Dancin’ Bear
James Coffey
A bear was looking for something to eat
When he found himself an old honey tree
He stuck his head in a big old hole
And he ate and he ate 'til his tummy was full
Now while his head was stuck in the tree
Along came an angry honey bee
He said, “I'm gonna have to teach that bear”
So he stung him right in the you know where
And he danced all day and he danced all night
People all around said "oh what a sight"
"Look at him go, he's lighter than air"
He's a Boogie Woogie Dancin’ Bear
He's a Boogie Woogie Dancin’ Bear
Now this guy came along and he saw the whole scene
He said, “you guys make quite a team”
He said to the bear and the honey bee
“How'd you like to be on TV?”
So later that night the bee and the bear
They got all dressed up and they went on the air
The bee zoomed in and did his thing
And the bear went flying when he felt that sting..
(Chorus)
Now one day the bee says to the bear,
“Hey dude, I’m outta here”
“This job’s getting old, I’m going home”
“From now on you’re on your own”
Now the bear didn’t know quite what to do
Because his show went on in a minute or two
He thought, “I’m gonna look like a fool”
Then he thought about something he learned back in school
His teacher used to say, “Cubby, if you put your mind to it,
you can do anything!”
So he closed his eyes and when the curtain went up
Do you know what happened?
(Chorus)
